Venice

My last day in Italy was spent in Venice. It is a very beautiful place in many areas, but it's super touristy. *says the tourist* Oops! Its just not a place that I think I would make a point to return to.

St. Mark's Basilica

Photos weren't allowed in St. Mark's, but our tour guide told us we could as long as the guards weren't around. He said they are just trying to make money by selling books with pictures of it at the end of the tour.... interesting.

The line to get into St. Mark's.

The gondola ride was awesome. It took you away from the crowds and made you feel Venetian. This was definitely not like my Vegas gondola experience years ago. This was the real thing. Still can't believe it.

We went to the Venetian Glass Factory where we sat in on a demonstration. He made a decanter in easily 5 minutes and then put it back in the fire once he was done. We weren't allowed to take pictures in the show rooms, but wow were the pieces amazing. So pretty.

Oysters. They were so good.

Where I got a beautiful, Italian made purse. Not sold in the U.S.

One of my favorite designers. There was amazing fashion all throughout Italy, but the streets of Venice reminded me of a scene from Hogwarts in Diagon Alley where the streets twisted and turned, lined with high end designers.

Ciao, Italy!
