Light the Fuse

Keith Urban is one of my favorite artists of all time. Not only can he sing, but he can shred on the guitar. I made my way back to Time Warner Music Pavilion and had a blast at the Light the Fuse Tour. So much fun. Just when I thought Keith was going to wrap it up, he kept playing and playing.

Dustin Lynch.

Little Big Town.

The man of the hour. Keith Urban.

With Little Big Town for You Gonna Fly.

His new single, Little Bit of Everything. I loved it!

This was my 5th Keith Urban concert and enjoyed every second of it. Every concert reminds me how great of an artist he is.

Rain is a Good Thing

If you don't already know,  North Carolina has gotten buckets and buckets of rain this past month. I can't remember the last day it hasn't rained. At one point, one of the major highways was submerged in water. This weekend I went to the Luke Bryan, Thompson Square, and Florida Georgia Line concert at Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion, in Raleigh. After all of our Country Thunder adventures in the rain, Luke was right when he said, "Rain is a Good Thing." Although I can't make it to Thunder this year, I had a little dose of mud and rain on Saturday. Unlike First Midwest Amphitheater (Tinley Park, IL), you can tailgate in Raleigh... and no charge for parking!

Got to wear my new Chloe + Isabel Necklace.

This is about as close as I'll get to drinking actual moonshine. Not for me. And that other little fact that its illegal... Luke Bryan brought up a mason jar full for his crew to drink on stage. Welcome to the Dirt Road Diaries Tour!

 Florida Georgia Line. So good.
 Luke Bryan!
 Rain is a good thing!

Great concert and great night. The rain actually held off for the entire show, which was nice since I was not under the pavilion. I definitely understand why this show was sold out in 20 seconds. So much fun. I got Keith Urban tickets that are even closer to the stage, so I'm very excited.

Biltmore

This weekend was one of the best I've had in a long time. Everything I did and saw was awesome! I drove over to North Carolina's Smoky Mountains, in Asheville. I will let most of the pictures speak for themselves, with a little commentary where needed.

Downtown Asheville was a lot of fun Friday night.
I went to a bar and lounge called MG Road and they made me this delicious cocktail. It was so crisp and refreshing. I wanted to go back on Saturday night just for this drink. Sage Advice: lemongrass-infused Tito's vodka, sage, soda, lime.

I went to one of the most gorgeous places I have ever been. I've wanted to visit ever since I saw Brooke Davis (One Tree Hill) overlooking the Biltmore House in search of her wedding location. The Biltmore Estate makes you feel like you're in a foreign country or part of a fairy tale. Its a cross between the Beast's Enchanted Castle (Beauty & the Beast) and Hogwarts. So magical and beautiful.

As if I wasn't already impressed with the Biltmore House, the gardens and grounds were massive and breathtaking.

The Biltmore Estate is also known for their winery. I can say that I have been to a wine tasting in the most visited tasting room in the country. Red wine is to be paired with food, so I did the "Chocolate and Red Wine" tasting. I ended up buying a few bottles. Their Biltmore Riesling (my type of wine) was delicious. Not too sweet, not too fruity, just crisp enough, and smooth. I bought that and their premium reserve Riesling too.

GRAPE STOMP.

For dinner I ate in the Dining Room at the Inns of Biltmore. Everything I had was delicious. I, of course, ordered that perfect Biltmore Riesling for dinner. Gorgeous view and wonderful service. Biltmore made my experience one I will never forget.

Dry-aged Ribeye and Lobster tails. For dessert I ordered sorbet. Blueberry, Watermelon, and Cucumber Mint. Yum.

Biltmore Estate and Downtown Asheville did not disappoint. I can't wait to go back. Next trip I think that I might go during Christmas time. I imagine taking a carriage ride all bundled up, pulled by clydesdales.

I hope you enjoyed re-living the weekend with me. Thank you!
