Breakfast macarons, anyone?
Sacré-Cœur Basilica or The Sacred Heart of Paris, a Roman Catholic Church.
Down the hill, on the backend of the church is the quaint neighborhood of Montmartre (18th arrondissement), where I had escargot for the first time. It wasn't bad.
And then after a bite to eat at Soleil de la Butte, we strolled over to the Moulin Rouge!
I had a bit of fun in front of Moulin Rouge. Not at all as magical as the movie made it seem, but still cool to see it in person. Luckily we strolled into the red-light district on a Sunday night, so there wasn't much action, if you know what I mean. ;)
That was a wrap on the night. What a day it was.
The streets of Paris are very unique and reminded me of Italy at some points, but then they started to become what Paris was for me. Minus the dog poop left on the sidewalks (not sure why they don't pick it up), the buildings really are beautiful. The balconies are picturesque and I'd love to stay in a flat that has one some day there. I'd imagine swinging the doors open and looking out over the streets.
Notre Dame.
The Notre Dame Cathedral. One of my favorite cathedrals I have ever been inside.
The most perfect cafe sit at Esmeralda, kitty-corner to the backside of the cathedral. My cup of tea was superb and so was the banana-nutella crepe.
Backend of Notre Dame Cathedral.
Next up: Louvre.
