Manhattan's Elite

My trip to NYC wouldn't be complete without visiting all of the Gossip Girl film locations, so we went on the On Locations Tour that started at the Bass/Van der Woodsen residence during season one.

Constance/St. Jude's second location.

The Met steps!

Harry Winston. Swoon...

Bendel's was everything!

Blair Waldorf's penthouse.

Although the Gossip Girl tour ended, we continued our own little tour of the Upper East Side with GG inspired stops.

The Plaza hotel where Blair and Chuck crashed that Bat Mitzvah.

St. Regis where Louis and Blair's wedding reception was.

Chuck Bass' Empire Hotel.

And yes. Yes I did order the "Chuck Bass." It was quite delicious, by the way!

I'm Chuck Bass...

The other three words every girl wants to hear... "I'm Chuck Bass."
At first, I didn't know whether to love or hate Charles Bartholomew Bass, but he won me over quickly. He is the lady's man, the master schemer, and overly flamboyant in style, Mr. Bass.

There's just something about him... Maybe it's his billions of dollars or the way he captured our hearts with his undying love for Queen B, Blair Waldorf. Their love kind of reminds me of a Taylor Swift song. All consuming love, that no matter "where they are or what they do, it will always pulls them in." They are perfect for eachother in every messy, dysfunctional way.

I love his ability to push the envelope with his wardrobe. The bright colors and bold prints show that he cares about his appearance, but is confident enough to create his own trends. Chuck Bass is a leader and paves his own way in fashion and in the corporate world through Bass Industries.

DISCLAIMER: DO NOT READ THE NEXT PARAGRAPH IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE SHOW.

I rooted for Chair (Chuck and Blair. Blair and Chuck) every step of the way. Although unconventional, their wedding was magical at the Bethesda Fountain in Central Park. Nothing like your closest friends and family putting together a wedding so you are protected by marriage in case of a criminal investigation.

Thanks for following my very own Gossip Girl week. NYC is calling my name, but for now I'll enjoy the weekend packing and preparing to site-see, shop, and indulge in the Big Apple. ;)
So, I will leave you with this...

Empire State of Mind

The best television shows usually have the perfect and best music. Like most of my other favorite shows, Gossip Girl was presented like a magazine. Popular fashion and entertainment trends intertwined through the storyline.

Music has always been a great love of mine and the element can make or break a moment. Please enjoy the soundtrack I've put together on Spotify and hopefully, it will take you back to some of the scenes from the show. Unfortunately, Spotify has removed the ability to embed playlists and songs so you will have to click here to listen if the work-around HTML code I've put together won't work on your computer. I have also linked two of my favorite scenes that were perfectly executed with a little help of a song.

DISCLAIMER: DO NOT WATCH IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY WATCHED OR PLAN TO WATCH GG IN THE FUTURE

And of course, they are obviously Chair scenes!

I hope you enjoyed. NYC is getting so close, I can taste it. One week from today! :)
